Adventure Segway is a great adventure for everyone in your family. Find out more about our standard daytime experience below!
Before you start, we’ll ask you to read our Risk Awareness Guide.
After signing up at our Explorers Outpost you will start in our private practice area. An instructor will demonstrate to you how to ride and will cover off some brief safety advice. Under the direct supervision of an instructor we will invite you to board. New to this? Don’t worry! It’s very intuitive and it takes about 5 minutes. You’ll be surprised how quickly you pick it up.
SEGWAY SKILLS COURSE
Ready to take it up a level? Navigate through a series of precision based challenges, ramps, balance beams and limbo! After you have mastered new skills in our assault course – venture out and glide for miles on our Wildlife or Coastal expedition.

Coastal or Wildlife? Following your training the chief will ask you to choose your adventure.COASTAL EXPEDITION
Discover the formal side to Mount Edgcumbe and explore acres of ancient woodlands and gardens. Get up close to the magnificent house and glide effortlessly from beach to beach along the Cornish coastline to Cremyll. Then, if you’re up for it – follow your guide off road. Slalom around trees, traverse the hills and finish with more technical features. Whether you like your thrills wild or mild, you’ll find your level of fun here.
Experience sharper turns and rough ground as you slalom around the trees. This is where your top notch training with the cones will come in useful. Remember it's not a race.
Barn Pool is a sheltered deep water basin anchorage used by the Vikings in 997. With Plymouth Sound behind you this sets the scene for a great group photo.
This optional off road section is for the real thrill seekers. Avoid the tree-stumps and fallen branches along this firm favourite.
How about this for a claim to fame. There's nowhere else in the UK you can glide the official coastal footpath on a Segway.
Watch out for the ducks! Since consulting with the chief Mallard at Quack Towers we finally have permission for safe passage across the Amphitheatre they call home.
We offer the closest sensation to Skiing this side of the Alps. Lean into your turns and Ski-style 100ft down the avenue. Mount Edgcumbe house serves as a sensational backdrop too.
Escape to the summit of Mount Edgcumbe and you’ll discover the most captivating sights. Look out to Dartmoor and glide like you mean it across the Grotton Plantation in search of hundreds of animals – including wild fallow deer. This journey also includes a stop at Red Seat – one of the most spectacular viewing platforms looking out over Plymouth’s famous breakwater.
Got a head for heights? Start with an off road climb to the summit of Mount Edgcumbe and see the amazing views open up around you.
In 1515 Sir Piers Edgcumbe was given permission by King Henry VIII to empark deer. Their descendants roam freely on the Peninsula to this day. Now they're joined by Segway adventurers. Enjoy the view.
See the folly ruin and let the panoramic views of Plymouth Sound serve as a sensational backdrop for the final group photo.
